About ASF

Who We Are

Avinya Synterra Foundation is a scientific ecological restoration institution reversing India's soil, cattle, and coastline crisis through ground-deployed, donor-grade programmes across the Western Ghats.

Why ASF Exists

India's soil, cattle, and coastlines are in crisis. Decades of chemical-intensive agriculture have degraded soil organic carbon to critical levels. Indigenous cattle breeds face health challenges and declining populations. Coastal erosion threatens communities and ecosystems.

But this crisis is reversible.

Pre-industrial Indian agriculture had functioning soil biology. Heritage practices—crop rotation, natural composting, indigenous breeds—maintained ecological balance for centuries. These practices alone can restore soil at 0.1% organic carbon per year.

ASF's mission is to accelerate this restoration 30–60x faster using scientifically formulated bioproducts developed by retired experts, achieving measurable recovery within 12–15 months instead of decades.

Vision

India's soil, cattle, and coastlines crisis is reversible—and ASF exists to prove it through scientifically rigorous, measurably accountable restoration at scale.

Mission

To reverse the crisis through ground-deployed programmes that restore soil organic carbon, revive indigenous cattle health, replant coastal forests, fortify coastlines, and reintroduce agroforestry—village by village, district by district, at measurable scale.

Scientific Rigor

Our Scientific Approach

Every methodology, bioproduct, and field protocol is reviewed and approved by our Scientific Advisory Board before deployment

Retired Expert Team

Our Scientific Advisory Board comprises retired soil microbiologists, agricultural scientists, biotechnologists, veterinary experts, coastal ecologists, and food scientists.

Proprietary Bioproducts

Quaternary chitosan and microbial-metabolite chemistries, field-tested, residue-free, biodegradable, and certification-compatible.

Field-Tested Protocols

All methodologies undergo rigorous field testing and validation before scaling. Results are baseline-tracked and third-party verifiable.

Heritage Foundation

Built on traditional practices: crop rotation, natural composting, indigenous breeds, absence of synthetic chemicals.

Accelerated Recovery

Heritage practices restore soil at 0.1% SOC/year. Our scientific enhancement achieves 0.8–1.0% in 12–15 months—30–60x faster.

Donor-Grade Metrics

Baseline-tracked, third-party-verifiable outcome metrics designed for the largest CSR and multilateral donor standards.

Geographic Focus

Western Ghats Corridor

ASF is deliberately built around Western Ghats ecology—one of the world's eight "hottest hotspots" of biological diversity.

We focus exclusively on Core, Non-Core (Coastal and Transitional), and immediate Fringe areas. We do not deploy outside this corridor.

This geographic discipline ensures our programmes are ecologically coherent, scientifically consistent, and operationally sustainable.
